Fried chicken with peanut

Who doesn't love fried chicken… and who doesn't love peanuts? The ultimate recipe would therefore combine these two things. And that's exactly what these 'galiña ku peanut' is!

Delicious, crispy fried chicken with a little peanut in the marinade. An absolute favorite!


  • 1 chicken of about 1,5 kilos
  • 150 ml buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 1 / 2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • (sunflower) oil for frying
  • 300 gr wheat flour


Divide the chicken into 14 pieces as follows:

Cut the drumsticks loose and then also cut both thighs loose

Remove the last tip of the wings and cut the two remaining parts of each wing.

Cut the fillets and cut each side into 3 pieces.

Remove the skin from all parts.

Take a (shallow) bowl and mix in the buttermilk, egg, peanut butter, pepper, cayenne pepper and salt.

Place the chicken pieces in it and let it marinate for at least 3 hours.

Heat (large) oil in a pan. You can of course also use a deep fryer.

Drain the excess marinade and roll the chicken pieces through the flour.

Fry each piece of chicken until the outside turns golden brown. This takes about 10-15 minutes each.

Drain the chicken on kitchen paper.
