Tiramisú with ponche crema

This Tiramisu with ponche crema is 'fusion cooking' at its best! We have transformed the traditional Italian tiramisú into a true Caribbean delicacy.

You make this easy, but impressive dessert WITHOUT oven .. The big question is: do you use ponche crema, ponche Caribe, ponche Kuba from a bottle, or make it yourself?



You make a large bowl of tiramisu from this recipe. That's enough for 6-8 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 2 packs of long fingers
  • 500ml whipped cream
  • 200ml ponche crema *
  • 1 packet of vanilla-flavored sugar
  • 3 cups of strong coffee
  • 100ml rum or cognac

 Preparation Tiramisu with ponche crema:

* You can buy ponche crema / ponche Caribe ready-made, but you can also do it make it yourself with our recipe.

Make the coffee and then let it cool in a bowl. When the coffee is lukewarm, you can add the rum / cognac.

Then add the vanilla sugar to the cream and beat it until stiff.



Finally, carefully add the ponche crema to the whipped cream to create a thick cream.

Now take a rectangular baking tin or glass bowl.

Briefly dip the long fingers into the coffee one by one and place them tightly together on the bottom of the dish. Completely fill the bowl.

Then scoop a portion of the ponche crema-mensel over the long fingers.



Now do the same again: so first dip long fingers in the coffee, and place on top of the ponche crema. Above that another layer of ponche crema.

Continue until the ingredients are used up. Always finish with a layer of the ponche crema.

Enjoy!

TIP: for an extra festive touch you can grate a piece of dark chocolate on top!

Place the bowl in the refrigerator and let the dessert set for at least 2 hours. Enjoy your meal!
