Tamarind sour (tamarind and rum cocktail)

Today a delicious new cocktail recipe from Sir Eddy. The basis for this cocktail is our delicious tamarind syrup. You can get the other ingredients for this tamarind sour at the liquor store (eg Gall&Gall). 

You will also need a cocktail shaker for this cocktail. You use this to mix the ingredients together well and to make the drink nice and creamy.



You 'shake' this cocktail twice: once without ice (we call this a 'dry shake') and later again with ice. This way you are assured of the best result!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 50 ml Bacardi Oakheart rum
  • 25 ml tamarind syrup
  • 15ml Luxardo Maraschino
  • 40 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 10 ml Angostura bitter
  • 1 protein
  • ice

Start making the tamarind syrup. This is possible according to our recipe. Let the syrup cool down for this recipe first!

Then squeeze the juice from the lime.

Now mix the tamarind syrup with the lime juice in a shaker.



Add the Bacardi Oakheart, the Luxardo Maraschino and the Angostura Bitter.

Finally add the egg white.

Shake all ingredients well now.

Then fill the shaker completely with ice and 'shake' the ingredients again.



Pour the tamarind sour through a fine sieve into a nice coupe glass.

Decorate the glass to taste and… enjoy your drink!
