Antilleans - just like the Dutch - love porridge. Our national porridge is made from a special kind of sorghum, a grain we ourselves call 'Maishi chikí' (small corn). You can hardly find this like anywhere outside the Antilles. Fortunately, that's why there is this tropical version of rice pudding. At least as popular, but of course it is much easier to get the ingredients. 

With the tropical flavors of coconut and lime, you can imagine yourself in the Caribbean again.

You can find the recipe for the rice pudding in our cookbook 'Nos Kushina Krioyo', on page 36.
