Deditos di keshi – Stuffed cheese sticks

door Linda Terrizzi

Deditos di keshi are tasty fried cheese sticks in a jacket. Ideal for a party, because it is just a bit more festive than serving 'normal' cubes of cheese. The heat from the deep fryer will melt the cheese inside the deditos. This makes the whole thing even tastier!

In the Antilles there are different names for this snack. Some call them 'deditos di keshi' (cheese fingers), others 'palitos' or go for the Spanish 'tequeños'. You can also find them in Venezuela, and there they naturally choose the last name.

With our recipe you make about 20-30 deditos, depending on the thickness of the cheese strips. You can vary endlessly with this. Also try other types of cheese. This way you always get new flavors!
