The 5 best summer drinks!

It's hot… there's plenty of fruit… let's make the most of it with some delicious, tropical summer drinks. It has never been so easy to get your daily dose of vitamins. In the following list there is something for everyone – with and without alcohol! 5. Watermelon colada

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of pureed watermelon
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks (canned!)
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 3 cups of ice
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut cream
  • optional: 100ml white rum

Mix all ingredients in a blender and mix at full speed for 1 minute.


 

4. Cuba Liber

Ingredients:

  • 100ml cola
  • 50ml dark rum
  • the juice of 1/2 lime

Mix all ingredients and pour into a wine glass. Serve with a slice of lime




 

3: Passion fruit smoothie:

Ingredients:

  • 3 passion fruits
  • 1 banana, in pieces
  • 1 small mango, diced
  • 1/2 glass of orange juice
  • ice

Remove the flesh from the passion fruit and put it together with the banana, mango and orange juice in a blender. Mix together, pour into a tall glass and serve with ice cubes.


2. Citrus and ginger cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 500ml. ginger beer (toko)
  • the juice of 2 limes
  • 200ml. bacardi Limon (lemon rum)
  • ice

Mix all ingredients. Serve in a tall glass and decorate with a slice of lemon.


1. Mango – Summer Fruit Smoothie:

Ingredients:

  • 1 mango, cubed
  • 1 ripe plum, cubed
  • 1 nectarine, cubed
  • 1 apricot, cubed
  • the grated zest + the juice of 1/2 lime
  • 1 cup of ice cubes
  • leaves of mint to decorate

Place the fruit and ice together in a blender and blend on high speed for 1 minute. Pour into tall glasses and serve with some mint leaves.
