Coconut cupcake frosting

This coconut cupcake frosting is wonderfully soft and sweet. With this frosting you give a delicious tropical twist to your homemade cupcakes or cakes. You can use dried, grated coconut (from a bag) for this recipe, but grated fresh coconut is of course the best!

Of course, use us to make the cupcakes basic recipe for cupcakes.



INGREDIENTS:

  • 200 grams of butter at room temperature
  • 400 grams of powdered sugar, sifted
  • 4 tablespoons of milk
  • 3 tablespoons grated coconut (+ more for sprinkling)
  • 1 packet of vanilla-flavored sugar
  • 1 cap of coconut essence

COCONUT CUPCAKE FROSTING COOKING:

Mix the grated coconut with the milk.

Stir the butter gently with a fork. Mix half of the sugar and the bag of vanilla sugar. Keep stirring!

Mix the butter with the milk / coconut and then add the cap of essence.

Add the rest of the sugar while stirring. You will now receive a thick cream.



Beat the cream in a food processor until it becomes fluffy. This will certainly take about 10 minutes!

You can now color the frosting with a drop of (gel) food coloring. Then put the frosting in a piping bag to make your cake or cupcakes.

Spread a thick layer of frosting on your cake or pipe a swirl on your cupcakes.

Sprinkle the frosting with more grated coconut (there is not too much!)
