chukulati peanut – chocolate milk with peanut

door Linda Terrizzi

Chukulati peanut is a must try! This delicious version of Antillean chocolate milk is really a treat. The peanut and cinnamon give it just that little bit extra… extra flavor and extra creaminess. Yet you can make this delicious drink in the same time as a normal cup of chocolate milk. So very good!

Are you really crazy about peanut? Then make ours traditional biscuits in the form of the letter S!

Antillean chocolate milk

In the past, the children were given this tasty, thick chocolate milk to drink when they came home from school. Many people therefore have wonderful memories of it. Where in the Netherlands we mainly associate chocolate with cold days, in the Antilles it is no problem at all to drink a cup of this hot drink when it is 30 degrees outside. The same goes for pea soup and stew, by the way, but I'll spare you those stories this time...

If you're going to make this chukulati peanut, get it right right away: add a pinch of cinnamon and mini marshmallows for garnish and it's a party in a cup! Guaranteed success with children and… of course also with 'grown-ups'!

This recipe is for 4 glasses.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 100 gr dark chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 1 / 2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • a cap of vanilla essence
  • 750 ml milk
  • optional: marshmallows, for decoration

PREPARATION OF CHUKULATI PEANUTS:

Together with Desirée and Sarah I magically made the chukulati peanut. If you don't feel like reading, you can watch our video:

  1. Break the chocolate into pieces.
  2. Put the chocolate pieces in a pan and melt them together with the peanut butter.
  3. Stir well together, so that no lumps remain.
  4. Now add the cinnamon and the vanilla essence.
  5. Stir well again until it forms a smooth mixture.
  6. Finally add the milk and heat until it boils.
  7. Whisk throughout the process with a whisk.
  8. When the milk has boiled, you can divide the chocolate milk into 4 glasses or cups.
  9. Make sure that you quickly process the chukulati peanut so that it does not get skin on!
  10. Add an extra pinch of cinnamon marshmallow for decoration, if desired. – Enjoy your drink!
