Bolo di glass – Stained glass pudding

De Bolo di Glas is a nice dessert. It is a gelatin pudding that is not difficult to make.

The beautiful, transparent pieces of colored pudding look exactly like stained glass windows. This is of course also where the name comes from.



Without too much effort you can make children very happy with the cheerful colors of this pudding. And they taste good too!

From this recipe you make 1 large pudding, or about 10-12 single puddings. 

INGREDIENTS:

For the colored pieces:

  • 1 pack of red gelatin pudding
  • 1 pack of green gelatin pudding
  • 8 gelatin leaves

For the white pudding:



  • 500 ml of coffee milk
  • 250 ml sour cream
  • 1 can of condensed milk with sugar (400 ml)
  • 10 gelatin leaves
  • 1 teaspoon of almond essence
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

 PREPARATION BOLO DI GLASS:

For the colored pieces:

Soak 8 leaves of gelatin.

Mix the red gelatin with 250 ml of hot water. Add to this 4 gelatin leaves and stir well.

Now add 250 ml of cold water.

Pour the gelatin into a rectangular mold and let it set in the fridge for a few hours. (or even better: at night)



Make the green gelatin in the same way.

Cut the colored gelatin into cubes


And after that…

Grease a baking tin with butter or oil. Place the cubes of colored gelatin in this shape.

Then put the mold in the refrigerator.

Soak the 10 leaves of gelatin in plenty of cold water until they are soft.

Then pour the coffee milk into a pan and let it heat up over low heat. (do not boil!) Dissolve the well-squeezed gelatin.



Then mix the condensed milk with the vanilla essence and the almond essence. Pour in the heated coffee milk here and stir well.

Now add the sour cream and stir well again.

Let this mixture cool down well, otherwise the colored gelatin will melt!

Then pour the mixture over the colored gelatin in the pudding mold.

Let the mixture set in the fridge for at least 3 hours. (but prefer longer)

Carefully loosen the rim of the pudding from the mold, then pour the pudding onto a flat dish.

You can do the bolo Cut the glass into pieces and serve. Enjoy your meal!

type: With a few drops food coloring make even more different colors and the pudding will be even more beautiful!
