The piña colada is a real classic cocktail. By combining the flavors of pineapple, rum and coconut, you immediately imagine yourself in the Caribbean. Nice when the summer gets hot!
Piña colada without alcohol
If you want to make this drink free of alcohol, for example because there are children or pregnant women in the company, it is best to cook the rum first. This is how the alcohol evaporates, but you do keep its taste, which will be much better than using essence or flavour extracts.
Do you want to make an virgin version for religious reasons? Then replace the rum with 1 teaspoon of rum-essence (oil-based), 200 ml of coconut milk (extra) and 200 ml of water.
This recipe is enough for about 2 liters. Making only 1 glass? Then use 50ml per ingredient.
- 400 ml of rum
- 1 can (400 ml) coconut milk
- 400 ml pineapple juice
- 1 can (397 ml) of condensed milk
- 1 can of pineapple pieces, 400 ml – incl. Syrup
- piece of pineapple or slice of lime for garnish
Preparation piña colada:
Mix all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth.
Then fill a tall glass with the cocktail.
Finally garnish the glass with a piece of pineapple or a slice of lime.
